Sunny spot on a cloudy day

Bought these lovely little tea cups that I've had my eye on in Anthropologie for about a year! Finally, and on sale! Good thing I waited. Other than that, this day is fairly cold and cloudy which I actually prefer.

stumbled upon these awesome chairs by Paper Craft from Japan. They are constructed from recycled paper material and are a beautiful simple design. I would love one for the studio!  Oh one more thing I found the other day: Tenso. It's a site that allows you to get a Japanese shipping address so you can order japanese goods even if they don't ship internationally! Check it out: www.tenso.com

Anyone know of other ingenious services like tenso  out there?

Gearing up for Towson Town!

I've been so busy this week that I haven't had time to upload any photos! I just purchased some wonderful summery fabrics to be used in my new displays for Towson Town  and possibly my other summer shows.  I'll be displaying my silver, gold and wood jewelry on the grassy green color and my earth tone pieces on the linen. I think it gives a natural feeling to the setup.
Other than that I've just been creating in the studio (which has been about 90 degrees the last 2 days blaa!) running, and getting wedding plans finalized!

So feel free to come and see me at Towson Town Festival this Saturday and Sunday (May 2-3), it's going to be a blast!  I've got a new tent and a new setup and 3 new collections of beautiful wearables!  Hope to see you all there!

Anniversary Designs!

Today marks the 8th year that I've been with my fiance Kirk! We aren't celebrating this joyous occasion until next weekend so I spent some time in the studio creating these lovely garnet colored pieces. The silver really pops against the dark burgundy colors.  Also as a heads up, I will be at Towson Town Festival again this year so if you have time stop by and see me on May 2nd and 3rd.

Also have to share this amazing nail color that I picked up yesterday:

it's from OPI's India Collection and the name is even better: Elephantastic. Reminds me of balloon animals. If anything, it will brighten up this dreary Monday here in Maryland for me!

What I'm working On

So I've been experimenting again with Polymer  and I think I really like the new techniques I'm working on! Here is just an example of a pin design that is in the works. I'll have more photos to come!

Also tonight I'm making Japanese Curry, or "Kare Raisu" and I"m pretty excited about it. Curry became popular in Japan during the Meiji era when India was under British administration. Popular curry dishes include Curry served inside bread (Kare Pan) and Curry served over noodles (Kare Udon) What is your favorite dish to make?
