Update in Photos

Woke up early to see the sunrise

New vintage necklace designs (sort of an oxymoron)

I think I made about 100 tiles the other day

Japanese  オムライス (Omurice)! I love making this. It's something of a homestyle comfort food in Japan and consists of an omelet filled with fried rice and then "garnished" with ketchup (normally you write cute words on top with the ketchup, I was just lazy ^^)
The key to great omurice is using enough oil in the pan so the egg can slide easily into shape without crumbling apart.

Also as a side note, my AMLP disposable camera has arrived in the mail! So I'll be posting some of the subjects that I choose to photo for this awesome project hopefully here on the blog as I go along.

It's not Christmas anymore

Lunch! Organic edamame and berries. YUM!

Tons of tiles for beautiful charm bracelets

TONS

Assembling more bracelets

So tonight we finallllllyyy took down the Christmas tree and most of the decorations. I know it's time to for them to go when I feel more embarrassed to have them around then sad :)

In other news, I've been busy with restocking my product line for my upcoming shows (MD Spring Home and Garden in March!) and sending some custom orders. I also have some exciting news that I will share with you all when I'm solid on all the details! It may or may not involve Honolulu....

What have you all been up to? I'm off to finish another batch of tiles and then off to sleep. I'm exhausted from my design work overhaul, pre-spring cleaning, show organizing, and to top it off:  a double run workout. Whew!

French Hearts

More like delicious fluffy homemade french toast and charming new hearts necklace!
Kirk and I whipped up some world class breakfast-dinner tonight and it brought back memories of when I lived at the apartment. Back then the things we could cook could be counted on one hand, and 4 of the 5 things involved pasta. We did however know how to make homemade waffles (recipe handed down from Grandma) and that became a dinner staple while we were going to college. Since then, vegetables and other more nutritious options have filled our dinner nights. But it was a fun treat to have breakfast for dinner again :)

If you want to make french toast too, you can follow the recipe we used here! (Trust me it's worth it!)

Tonight I also want to share my new cute and totally wearable little heart necklace. A perfect set of 5 little heart charms strung along a silver chain. A great necklace that can be worn well past Valentines day! You can find this in my shop later this week.
