Thoughts on this photo:

- So much bad luck
- They all look the same
- look at those sunglasses
- I guess even kitties have dreams
- How do they choose?

What do you think? :)

Beautiful Bookshelves

Just wanted to share some of my current bookshelf obsessions. When We first moved into our house the previous owners left us with about 8 generic ikea bookshelves in various heights. They were actually an eyesore to us so we ended up giving most of them away to new homes and the rest I ended up using in my studio and as a makeshift "custom" closet insert. However, because we rid ourselves of so many large pieces of furniture, we now have lots of strange empty wall space. I've been collecting photos of interesting bookshelves in hopes of one day filling that void :) How you place things are almost as important as the shelves themselves. What inspires you to rearrange?

DIY nail art with scotch tape

I love nail art I'm not going to lie. I probably follow about 20 different nail design artists on Pinterest and instagram :) so I'm always playing around with my own polishes and trying new things. Today I finally tried one of the oldest tricks that I never have tried myself : good old scotch tape. I was surprised at how pretty the results were! I just taped over my old nail polish and painted stripes but the lines came out so nice and clean! Ill be trying this again :) how do you like to add color to your fingertips?

I Must Confess, I Love...

I love competely unattainable Hollywood men.  ;)

To scrape off and eat the icing ribbons left on the cardboard tray from around a store bought birthday cake...yum. I don't know why people don't take all their allotted icing. That is crazy to me.

My ugly muggly pug

Pushing over my kids block towers

eating peanut butter from the jar with my biggest spoon

Buying shoes at Kmart and returning clothes to Macys (that I've worn haha!)

Those Valentine earrings you are giving away!

playing hide and seek with my mini dachshund.

I love making my husband's lunch for work because it gives me a reason to write him love notes on his napkin and draw X's & O's on the bologna with the mustard.

(I also use my iPhone camera as a mirror lol)

I love teen television dramas! As a woman in her 30's, I dvr all of my guilty pleasures (degrassi,  90210, pretty little liars, etc) and watch them as I enjoy my coffee in the morning before work.

Hearing Tone Loc's Funky Cold Medina on the way to work, especially if I'm in a bad mood or if it's raining or if it's Monday. It helps.

I love sunrises on the river, moonlight from our pier, and sharing it all with my best friend..my husband

Flair felt tip pens.

Seeing flowers start to grow that I planted on my windowsill

When my husband says, "Why don't we get take out"

The smell of gasoline, sometimes I just inhale at the bus stop

QVC, it's an addiction. I love like everything on that channel!

Graham crackers and milk

Walking around the track with my BFF's on our lunch break

Going to Wegmans and just eating all the samples they have

Playing piano by myself when no one is home and singing along to my own tunes

Doing absolutely nothing, sometimes

Deciding which backpack to take in the morning I have about 20 of them!

Taking pictures of my brother when he isn't looking then putting them on facebook

Gerard Butler, he's just too gorgeous!

Learning new things, life is full of unusual facts. Mostly useless facts actually but I still read  them...and love reading about them...

All those sugary kids cereals

Painting my house! I have painted and repainted this one wall at least 100 times I swear! Oh and the paint swatches at the store, I just LOVE them!

Halloween and eating my kids halloween candy. Easter is good too :)

Mowing the lawn because it makes me feel strong

Trying on all of my clothes and making a mess of my closet

This guy in my Bio lab, he doesn't know who I am but I'm working up the courage to ask him out!

Paying for the car behind me at the toll booths and vice versa

those awful prank calls on the radio shows in the morning when I drive to work, I find myself laughing too hard!

Chains in the Shop

Added the Sweet Wood Chain Necklaces to the shop today! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do :) I wore the layered chain necklace out to our early Valentines day dinner last night and got a lot of compliments! The wood color goes well with just about everything. Oh and a little side about dinner last night, we tried smoked swordfish flat bread for the first time, to die for! Anyways...

I'm thinking about reopening my Etsy shop... it's been a while but I'm thinking it's time to open it up again. I was thinking I may list my one of a kind pieces there, but who knows. I may just go crazy and list my whole collection. Nothing concrete yet,  just thought I'd share my far off plans/thoughts.

Hope everyones week is going well!

Chain Obsessions

Recently I've become quite enamored with making long neck pieces and so I finally created a long open chain style necklace that incorporates my wood clay links. I'm not going to lie, I'm sort of obsessed with it. It took me about a week to complete but it's so worth it! Here are some shots of just random chains and the necklace :)

** Also remember to send me your love confessions to win those earrings! You have until the 14th to enter!
