I don't know why I never knew about this! I just finished cleaning up about 100 silver chains that I thought would never get clean, ( because I didn't have time to clean them by hand) in about 5 minutes! I found this easy way on a forum. You simply line a dish or pan with aluminum foil and sprinkle baking soda in it. Then place the tarnished silver in the dish and pour boiling water over everything! I just popped them all out after a little swirling with a toothpick and rinsed them in cool water: all bright and shiny like new! Wow I learn new things everyday :)
