First Sunday Arts Festival : Last show!

This Sunday is my last showing at the Annapolis First Sunday's Art Festival! It's supposed to be great weather so if you are in the area, come out and enjoy lovely Annapolis by the water and perhaps browse for some early holiday gifts? :)  I'll be located on West Street this time. See you there! Also check out my website for more upcoming shows this fall/winter season.

First Sunday Arts Festival in Annapolis: October 5th
on Historic West Street
Over 100 fine artists and crafters as well as entertainers and musicians will put their talents on display when First Sunday Arts Festival holds its final street festival of the 2014 season on Sunday, October 5th from 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm on historic West Street in downtown Annapolis.
In addition to a plethora of local and regional artists, photographers, and woodcrafters whose original work --- as with all exhibitors --- is for purchase, the festival displays arts and crafts of all genres to make a visit even more enjoyable:  fiber art; pottery; glass; metal; printmaking, sculpture.  And, as Annapolis is "the sailing capital of the nation," visitors can be assured there will be a full slate of artists and crafters displaying nautical paintings, decorative items, and hand-forged jewelry. There's face-painting for the children, and dogs are welcome, too!
Come early and enjoy the soothing music of guitarist Jonathan Stone at 49 West Coffeehouse or take in a Bloody Mary at Stan and Joe's. Meander through the many shops such as The Annapolis Collection Gallery, devoted to the display of the Annapolis master painters who have received recognition for their artistic talents. Enjoy lunch and a drink at one of the outdoor cafes set up in the street.  And, at the end of the day, the festival continues on the patio of Ramshead Tavern.
October's sponsors are:  Evolve Medical Clinics, Leaf Filter Gutter Guards, Kitchen Savers, Long Fence, and Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing.
The continued growth of the First Sunday Arts Festivals is reflected in the increasing strength and quality of the exhibitors and performers as well as the thousands of visitors who have come together to make each Sunday a success.   Visit www.firstsundayarts.com for information for the forthcoming 2015 season.

Weekend recap

This past weekend marked the end of my 2013 show season and I couldn't have asked for a nicer finale! Sure it was cold and we did get that Sunday snow but it was a blast! Thank you to all of my wonderful customers who stopped by the shows, I'm forever grateful for your support and kind words :)

On Saturday I was at Roland Park Country School for their holiday fair. It's such a lovely school and I'm always amazed when I go there. The staff and kids are just so wonderful and they go out of their way to make the vendors feel welcome. This year they had the kids activities and artists under one roof and not only was it a lively time for the kids, it was also hilarious entertainment for the rest of us! I think I smiled the whole time because I was watching the karaoke stage from my booth! I also had some adorable returning customers who stopped by and modeled some of my jewelry:

Aren't they the cutest ?! They purchased one of my newest designs I'm calling the Cumulus necklace. It looks fabulous on her doesn't it?

We packed up and I tried to get some sleep because ALS Boutique was the next day and I was up by 5am to drive to Annapolis. They were calling for snow that day so the morning was intensely busy! I love this boutique because it's a benefit  show that helps support Lou Gehrig's disease and we helped raise over $20,000 on Sunday! I think that's so amazing! This show has so many talented local artists under one roof. It's a show that you shouldn't miss if you enjoy shopping handmade for the holidays. Next year I hope to show my work in Annapolis more! I love it there :)  so thank you everyone who braved the snow to come out and shop this event! It was great to meet so many new people.

So that ends my shows for 2013 but I won't have much down time. I received some consignment opportunities in some local shops that I will tell you more about when things are finalized, but I am very excited for what 2014 has to offer!

Also as a reminder, we are still taking orders for Christmas until the 15th! So be sure to order soon if you want to receive your packages before the 24th!

Happy Holidays! -Amy

Multiple city

Geezy peezy, I'm putting in some extra work hours this weekend trying to keep up with my schedule for Artscape! (So far I'm rightttt on schedule which means I feel slightly behind! ) all is well though, my hands are covered in clay from about 7am-7pm daily and that's all right with me!

Artscape is a very large free-to-the-public show in Baltimore and an outdoor one at that. So you can never quite tell what will happen. My faraway dream would be to always have left over stock but that's why it's a dream: potentially not possible. However I'm trying my best to have a  well stocked table so I'm madly making multiples! I was lamenting to Kirk the other night how it's so hard to predict what will sell, like,  making 30 of one design might be overkill  but 30 of another design may sell out in a few hours.

In conclusion: I wish to see the future.

Art in the park this weekend!

So I've been really slacking in posts lately! Apologies :) I've been busy with a crazy schedule of deadlines I accidentally put myself under! With Towson's show in May then trying to stock inventory for Art in the Park this weekend on top of getting ready to send a ton of my work to NY in a week and then finally trying to gear up for Artscape... It's been pretty hectic! But yes, come out this weekend to enjoy some beautiful work in a beautiful setting: under the winding paths of the tree shaded grounds of Westminster  City Hall! It's a perfect art show that I look forward  to participating in each year! It's supposed to be warm and sunny! I guess Summer has come to Maryland!

Packing Up

Today I am packing up and getting ready for setup at the MD Home and Garden Spring show!
My goal is to have a simple and clean display this year. Tonight I will be preforming some "surgery" on a light fixture that I want to use this weekend, so let's cross our fingers I don't burn down my studio.

Really looking forward to this first show of the season! Come out this weekend to say hi!
