Update in photos

I'm exhausted! Today l I felt like I talked non stop all day. I'm currently drinking some hot tea and finally eating a little something since I didn't have the chance all during the show. One more day to go! :) here are a few shots from today.

Setup time

Have a few minutes before I start setup, it's always strange seeing the floor plan before everyone moves in for the weekend.

Update in photos

Today's photos are a study of disorganization and new work. My tiny studio is very cramped at the moment. It's times like these that I say to myself, " why didn't I buy those ikea shelving units?? "

The floor is of utmost importance to me. No matter how many tables I may have, the floor is where I end up and where my work spreads out. The closer a show deadline creeps up, the less floor space there seems to be. So at this current time: 21 hours until setup, I have about 1 sq foot of floor space left :)

Weekend Recap

Then there was LIGHT!

100 tiles

Brand new, one of a kind!

Craisins and coffee. That is basically what I subsisted on this whole weekend while working the show.  Despite a minor leak in the roof over our tent, this weekend went extremely well! I was particularly happy with the light that Kirk rigged up last minute for this setup. It really gave a boost to my display this time around.

For a few hours of the show it felt like I saw friends and customers from all of my previous shows! It was a lot of fun :) Thank you to everyone who came out and supported my work as always! I appreciate you all truly from the bottom of my heart.

I am continuing to work hard for this next weekend to finish up the MD Home and Garden show which will begin this Friday. Also how do you like my new one of a kind pair of earrings? I'm feeling like a giveaway may be in the near future....

Packing Up

Today I am packing up and getting ready for setup at the MD Home and Garden Spring show!
My goal is to have a simple and clean display this year. Tonight I will be preforming some "surgery" on a light fixture that I want to use this weekend, so let's cross our fingers I don't burn down my studio.

Really looking forward to this first show of the season! Come out this weekend to say hi!

First Fall Show Recap

Thanks everyone who came out to see me at the show this Saturday! It was full of surprises and lots of new faces! I have a lot of work ahead of me as the next shows are rather large.  Here is a photo of my setup last Saturday. All I could think was that I've come a loooong way in  booth design! Debuting that weekend was also the new teal blue Appus Design Packaging. Was very pleased with the new look!

Also couldn't help but mention what a GORGEOUS Sky we had during the whole day! It made the show go by a lot smoother! This is a photo from where our booth was. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I am exhausted from it personally! More photos of some interesting pieces tomorrow!

Towson Wrap Up

simple and clean
me after setting everything up!
behind the booth! Super organization!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR COMING OUT TO VISIT ME!

Finished up Towson Town Fest this weekend! It was a great show except for the weather. The first day was wonderful, not too sunny, not too hot, just right! I had a great time with my new set up and new tent (whoever made EZ up is a GOD) I decided to put out fewer things this time and had a great success! Jewelry artist Ben Neubauer told me while I was at ACC last year that he doesn't put out all of his earring designs at once so people don't get overwhelmed. I think I'm starting to understand what he means.  So not only was the setup nicer looking and less cluttered, it was so much easier to take down!

Despite a wonderful Saturday, Sunday was a complete downpour! We went over to set up Sunday morning and only decided to stay for an hour. Many people were packing up and  the weather called for rain all day.  With an upcoming presentation to study for on top of not feeling that well, we decided to pack it up  and instead got some good hot breakfast!

Outdoor shows are always a gamble and I go into them knowing that, it's almost part of the fun! I had a great time and even though Sunday was a bust, got home and did some much needed house cleaning! So it was all good in the end. Thanks again to everyone who came out to see me and support me!

Much love! -Amy

Gearing up for Towson Town!

I've been so busy this week that I haven't had time to upload any photos! I just purchased some wonderful summery fabrics to be used in my new displays for Towson Town  and possibly my other summer shows.  I'll be displaying my silver, gold and wood jewelry on the grassy green color and my earth tone pieces on the linen. I think it gives a natural feeling to the setup.
Other than that I've just been creating in the studio (which has been about 90 degrees the last 2 days blaa!) running, and getting wedding plans finalized!

So feel free to come and see me at Towson Town Festival this Saturday and Sunday (May 2-3), it's going to be a blast!  I've got a new tent and a new setup and 3 new collections of beautiful wearables!  Hope to see you all there!
