Some photos from our trip to the home and garden show this weekend! Got an early birthday gift in the form of a little evergreen from Celestial Bonsai! I won't be naming it this time around. (Mr. Tree was my last attempt at bonsai raising. May he RIP).

Update in photos
I'm exhausted! Today l I felt like I talked non stop all day. I'm currently drinking some hot tea and finally eating a little something since I didn't have the chance all during the show. One more day to go! :) here are a few shots from today.

Update in photos
Today's photos are a study of disorganization and new work. My tiny studio is very cramped at the moment. It's times like these that I say to myself, " why didn't I buy those ikea shelving units?? "
The floor is of utmost importance to me. No matter how many tables I may have, the floor is where I end up and where my work spreads out. The closer a show deadline creeps up, the less floor space there seems to be. So at this current time: 21 hours until setup, I have about 1 sq foot of floor space left :)

View from the show
Actually set up early! What is happening to the world! So I took a few photos from my booth. All I can say is, if I were a boy, I'd have loved to go to this school! They have solar panels powering their athletic building! Love :)
Beautiful morning!
Interesting. I am up and ready for my show at The Gilman School today and I don't feel very tired. Normally when I only get 3 hours of sleep I do. The sky is a beautiful blue as I sit here drinking my blueberry tea :) perhaps that's why I feel so energized!

Tired but Happy
Hooray! I'm exhausted but Art in the Park was such a lovely place to be today. I'll be posting a full recap with photos tomorrow. Three shows in a row was exciting but truly exhausting. I'm taking a few days to give the house a full and thorough cleaning, bake some dairy free goodies, and get some good sleep! Thank you everyone who gave such encouraging words to me today!

Karma Fest
I'm happily exhausted from my weekend show at Karma Fest! What a pleasure and a good time that was. The weather may not have been grand but, with all the warm and friendly people, it really didn't matter! I'm super tired tonight but I just wanted to post something brief. I will do a full recap with photos tomorrow along with the drawing for the four giveaways! おやすみ ! or Goodnight!

Insight into My Process

This is one of the newest necklaces to make up the fall/winter collection. I've always liked working in multiples, I like the idea of the collective and the visual strength of objects in groups, and this year I've started fleshing out that idea. I'm slowly starting to understand what motivates my creative process and am in the middle of reflecting on my designs and putting together a formal written artist statement. This is an exciting step in the new direction I am heading with my work and I hope everyone will enjoy watching me grow as an Artist!

Metal Work Preview

Just popping by to show my newest metalwork! Lovely Brushed Sterling and Brass Studs with a matching pendant. Will be on sale on at the Home Show!
Also toying with the idea of having a 3 day online trunk show with select pieces to buy for people that are not in the area or cannot attend the Home Show.
What do you think?

Crazy Weekend at ACC

This weekend has been a total whirlwind! I ended up being fortunate enough to work for the innovative jewelry artist Ben Neubauer this weekend downtown at the American Craft Council Show for the retail days. It was an honor as always to be able to assist at such a world renowned show and gain valuable experience under Ben. As you can see his work is as beautiful as it is mind boggling. I spent the majority of the time working the booth, but I managed to slip away and see most of the show. If you have never been to ACC, you really are missing out. They have the most talented artists that make the most stunning products in every category, not to mention the sheer size of the show, it's enormous! So after many hours of standing I am finally home. I'm very happy to have met many new people and had another great experience working with Ben. Please check his work out, it is truly one of a kind jewelry! http://benneubauer.com
