New Beads!

It's like Christmas here today! I finally got my new shipment of sparkling new supplies. Be sure to check out the Shop this week as I'll be listing some of these new beauties! I have a whole bunch of ENORMOUS faceted onion cut gems this time around. I'm not going to lie, they are to die for. Vibrant Amethyst, Mystic Topaz, Blue Mystic quartz, Rock crystal just to name a few! You can e-mail me as well if you are interested in any of these lovely gemstones. I'm so excited to get to work with these!

Good Morning! I finished cleaning out the studio for the  10000000th time last night! What a chore! It was worth it though because now I feel like I can get 10x the amount of work done. The photo up top is a neat formation of melted plastic from  the drills friction heating up enough to melt the shavings coming off the bead. I thought it was rather pretty, like an ice formation.  The other photo is the strand of HUGE sparkling Pyrite nuggets that I'm excited to work with today!  All new work will be presented at the Fall Home Show!

Bo Concept

Hi  Everyone! So I'm back from an amazing stay on Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts! Had  the best time and  managed to get around to a diversity of places in 2 days (Photo walk soon!). I don't have a lot of time today but I wanted to post about the Urban Home Design store BoConcept. We were lucky enough to attend their Worldwide Release Party while in Philly and ended up winning some pretty cool furnishings! So please check them out if you get a chance! Lovely designs, and a whole range of customization in their products.

First Fall Show Recap

Thanks everyone who came out to see me at the show this Saturday! It was full of surprises and lots of new faces! I have a lot of work ahead of me as the next shows are rather large.  Here is a photo of my setup last Saturday. All I could think was that I've come a loooong way in  booth design! Debuting that weekend was also the new teal blue Appus Design Packaging. Was very pleased with the new look! 

Also couldn't help but mention what a GORGEOUS Sky we had during the whole day! It made the show go by a lot smoother! This is a photo from where our booth was. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I am exhausted from it personally! More photos of some interesting pieces tomorrow!

Big News Update

Hi! Just checking in with a some good news! We are currently very busy recreating Appus Design's image which I have been talking about for a long, long, time. This includes:

-new website

-new photos

-new logo

- a handful of other surprises!

This is a very exciting time for Appus Design and I'm looking forward to meeting the new challenges, new shows, and new faces this coming Fall/ Winter. As of now, the studio is in complete working order, Show applications are filled out and ready to be sent, and the new host for the website has been secured. So now in the coming weeks things should fall into place!  So please be patient as we start down our new creative path!

Fun and New !

Came back from the beach to find a new supply package waiting for me! I have a horde of gorgeous new gemstones to work with and I can't wait to get started! While I was at the beach I fell in love with these adorable food shaped erasers from Iwako Japan. I couldn't resist the tea ceremony set along with a handful of other deliciously adorable pieces including a taiyaki fish pastry, Japanese soda, and cup ramen erasers. Check out Iwako's website for the complete list. They are so cute and completely functional! (though they are too cute for me to actually use to erase anything!) 

 This week I'm gearing up for my home show which has been postponed for August (more details later!)  along with applying for my other fall/ winter shows and  finalizing the new Website.  For now,  I 'll be tucked away in my studio  working on all of that!
